So, I'm not really a fan of Nicki Minaj (to be honest her music gives me a headache) BUT I do really like her original Viva Glam lipstick for MAC. On my lips the colour is a bright pink, not too warm or too cool toned and has a satin finish. I think the lighting in my picture is making it look a bit more flattering than it is, because sometimes I do find it looks a little too much one me, but overall it is a lovely colour if you're going for a vibrant lip. I can't wait to try this one out when I fake tan, as usually bright colours suit me best when I have a tan!

With all the hype surrounding Naked 2, I was so excited when mine came in the mail a couple months back. For the first few days I experimented with each colour, ooh-ing and aah-ing over how lovely they looked in the palette. After the initial excitement wore off however, I found that I actually wasn't reaching for it that often.

The one issue I have found with both my Naked palettes (the first has a mix) is that quite a few of the shadows are quite cool toned, and for some reason they sometimes just looked too dull and gray on my eyes.

Generally taupes/plums are quite flattering on my green eyes, so I have decided to give the palette another go and set myself a little 'challenge'. For everyday I wear makeup, I have to somehow incorporate the Naked 2 palette into my look.

I hope through this challenge I can actually start getting some proper use from the palette so I can get my moneys worth. Although I hardly reach for Naked 1 on a daily basis, it has my go-to smokey shades for a night out look, so I find that I am definitely getting some good use.

Wish me luck on this challenge, haha! I don't wear eyeshadow everyday, so it should be interested to see how I can incorporate the shadows into my looks.

So it seems like quite a few products... but if you follow my Face of the Day posts you will recognize that this is definitely a 'barely there' makeup look for me. I rarely get Saturdays off from work, so today was quite relaxed and I thought I would share what I got up to!

Firstly I went to a Polish butcher with my Mum out in Salisbury. It's a bit of a drive (I did my makeup in the car haha) but definitely worth it, they make delicious bread (we buy like 6 loaves and freeze them to have over the week) and stock a decent range of imported Polish food! My favourite is the soup sachets. Not as good as Babcias (grandma) but so much better than any crappy soup you'll find in Woolies etc.

I also decided to clean out my tall boy, a long awaited task I have been avoiding for years. Came up with 2 rubbish bags full of junk I have been hoarding. Loving the fact that I can finally open and close my drawers without something getting jammed!

Airy Fairy: Face Of The Day

A face of the day for the makeup I wore to work last night. I don't typically wear false lashes to work but I have been testing out some that were sent to me for review from BornPrettyStore.com - I absolutely love them! I got them for free but they cost under $10 and I will definitely be repurchasing when I run out. They come in a pack of 10 and look great as a full lash or cut into half accent lashes. Face Of The Day: School :(

So my nice 2 week midyear break is over and I had school today :( If you live overseas and are currently in summer holidays, enjoy them and know that I am sitting in my cold room here in Australia and envy you lol.

The one good thing about being back in school is that it's getting closer to the end of the year, and for me, end of school since I'm in year 12 :D Woo 58 days left I believe!

Pink Lips

All through June and now July, I have been obsessing over pretty pink lips! My favourite choices have been MAC Angel, Rimmel Airy Fairy and Australis Jive, which is pictured above.

Combination I am wearing:

Australis Colour Inject Lipstick in "Jive"
Rimmel Vinyl Gloss in "111 Demure"

"Jive" is a gorgeous light pink with a hint of violet and "Demure" is a baby pink. (I've heard it's a dupe for NARS Turkish Delight?)
